WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY AT THE TWO BRIDGES HOTEL, DEVON
Michelle the bride was, surprisingly, one of the best brides I have ever photographed. When I say surprisingly, it’s only because I know her now on a personal basis, that I thought Michelle may be a tad more inhibited.
Chris her partner was as equally great to photograph, up for it, which is half the battle.
Michelle is the owner of Te Amo Bridal shop in Plympton, Plymouth. We all met at a wedding show in Plymouth, back in 2011, where they too were promoting their business, they were looking for a photographer, which now seems many moons ago. Michelle and Chris approached my stand the exact second one of my photos on display fell off the stand and whacked my girlfriend Sarah on the head! It kind of set the tone in our relationship since then.
I took to them instantly, and hoped they would get in contact over the next few weeks for me to be their photographer. Not so much in a booking, but more I would get the chance to photograph the right people, who want me there for a reason.
Anyway, they did,J and here we are, their wedding was awesome, yes it was in the deep winter on top of Dartmoor, but, it felt magical, all involved played their part brilliantly.
I know the couple well, and by the time the wedding came about, we were recommending each other to potential brides, as we both set up our business around the same time. I personally feel a bond with that company and Michelle and Chris.
Michelle’s mother….a fun great lady, got worried when I started properly peering over the registrar who was marring them to get a better shot as they had the first kiss.
I could see her mum Shirley trying to catch my eye, thinking I was in for a telling off for being a bit OTT on her daughters wedding day, I swerved her glance until it became impossible, only to find out that Shirley wanted to catch my attention to tell me to “get up higher and stand on a chair”!!
And this sums up the wedding, her brother came in dressed as Santa and pretty much stole the show, on the whole, the wedding was fantastic. I wish these guys all the best luck in the world….not that they’d need any.
Cheers for your time
