Now this is a blog I couldn’t wait to write. A wedding at Upton Barn & Walled Garden near Cullompton in Devon. Elly and Lee, we met at a wedding show a couple of years ago in Exeter, I wasn’t at my stand, I had gone AWOL, I went for a wander about and to chat to other vendors, but they waited at my stand, and I was so glad they did! Such a perfect couple who really got my style of documentary wedding photography, so if your reading this folks, thanks for waiting :).
Bridal prep was fun, and a good leveller for how the day was going to go, laughter, banter and lots of dancing by Elly’s daughter, which was very entertaining. Not alone in documenting this wedding I had the pleasure of having Pete second shoot, branched in all the way from Worcester, and a sterling job he did covering the groom prep, giving me lots of options to edit from his time there all day and evening. Pete actually got an image which made it into the blog of me chatting the “ vicar to photographer “ moment as I arrived at the church, I do like these fleeting moments, where the vicars tell me to basically become invisible and only breath during the Hymns, a lovely chap and he just let me get on with my job.
Upton Barn & Walled Garden is an amazing wedding venue situated in Mid Devon, this was my first time shooting there, and it’s a place where I’d love to go back to and shoot more weddings, the views just go on and on and on and on and…yeah…you get it.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and hope you enjoy looking through the pictures as much as I did photographing them, of the wonderful Elly & Lee’s wedding day story.
