Considering Somerset is next door to Devon where I live, I don’t get that many weddings to photograph in this county, until now, and this all changed when Kerri and Ian got in touch to document their wedding at The Barn at Cott Farm.
Not only have they a super Barn to eat and party in, but you can do a bit of glamping! After personally spending three nights away with my young children and wife in a tent with a jumper for a pillow and a mobile phone for a light I was keen, never tried it personally but it really looks fun intriguing, and comfortable.
My second photographer Joe dropped me off at my bridal prep, a lovely family friend’s house not to far from the venue, where sisters and friends all helped Kerri get ready, while Joe went on his way to photograph Ian at The Barn, where it was never in doubt he would do as per usual a sterling strong job.
Kerri and Ian are very outdoorsy people, is that a word? So this venue was perfect, with its rustic charm and spacious surroundings, your very own bit of countryside to pretty much do as you please,
So this is enough waffling from me, the whole day and night was great fun, topped off with a pizza oven and a party on the dance floor, sounds good to me!! The owners of the venue, Becca and Oli, must take a lot of credit for how the whole vibe of the place, and set up, with their calm approach, and enthusiasm clearly rubbing off and that trickles through the whole wedding.
Here are some kind words left by Kerri and Ian about GRW Photography:
“Brilliant – from pre-shoot through to the wedding day. Gareth encouraged us to take a second shooter and this was a stroke of genius. The wedding was captured from all angles and the post production has strung together an amazing chronological account of our wedding in intimate and beautiful detail. Simply amazing!”
I have only just spookily realised, after finishing and getting to the end of writing this blog, that it’s actually their first year wedding anniversary today!! August 11th!! (cue scary iconic music). This wasn’t intentional to write this today but seems all the better for doing now, if you do see this post dudes, then “Happy Anniversary both!!“
Thanks for looking, please take a look at my other wedding photography blogs.
