Same sex wedding photography

On a wonderful June summers day, I was fortunate enough to photograph the entertaining and fab couple, James & Toby, at the equally brilliant Ocean Kave.

Now, Ocean Kave is a very unique wedding venue, secluded, personal, and completely different, not forgetting over-looking beautiful miles of blue ocean, perched elegantly and delightfully on the side of a cliff, sit the grounds where if you wish, you can get married in a cave, yep, that’s right, a cave! It really is as fabulous as it sounds.

When I first met the couple over a coffee at a Costa, nothing was set in stone that I was going to photograph their wedding, but thankfully it just all clicked, we all had the same positive vibe, ethos about how a wedding should be and roll, and were all as excited about their wedding at the Kave as each other. For me I just know how great the images you can get from this venue, as when you arrive on site you instantly feel that the whole venue is yours, for me anyway, and I’m just there documenting a wedding. If you wish a short car journey away and you’re on the mighty Westward Ho! beach, just as the sun sets over North Devon.

The whole day was full of emotion, we had every one of them covered within the first hour or so, I say we, as myself and my trustee second photographer Joe, were there to capture it all.

So that’s quite enough from me, I’ll let you get on with looking through the blog, the last image is of myself and my second photographer Joe, in a selfie at the end of the day, a great day, great fun and great people, this was one of those weddings where I never wanted the sun to go down.

Thanks for your time.
