I was driving home from this wedding at Quantock Lakes and was trying to put together this blog in my head already, yes, I really did enjoy this one that much! Myself and my fellow second photographer side kick Joe Blatherwick had a riot, who I have to say coughed out some fabulous images and played a blinder, this guy is getting better each and every wedding, his vision and out thinking second opportunities is becoming the norm, anyway, enough of Joe, lets get back to the wedding.
From the off, the banter was flowing, and more importantly the Prosecco, I was documenting the girls getting ready in the Wagon House Barn, whilst Joe, took care of the boys with the whiskey and cigars. The couple, Katie and Charlie, were fantastic to work with, fun and relaxed, a perfect storm was once again brewing, I could tell, and was very excited about the whole day and night ahead. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful, and to me this is well appreciated, as a photographer at a wedding, we all need to pull together and create the vibe, as chilled and free flowing as possible, meeting all expectations.
We hit pretty much every emotion early on, laughter, crying, you name it, this was a wedding to remember, Charlie the groom was either laughing or crying all day, brilliant.
A fab choreographed first dance, with a confetti cannon at the end was a right touch, making for some cool pictures, a great video made by the groomsmen for Charlie was another fine photographic opportunity. The sun was out and looking like it was going to set sweetly, and it did, my word what a sunset, Quantock Lakes are blessed and seem to have found the sweet spot upon the Quantock Hills, a few moves on the dance floor was taken, and the rug was certainly cut.
Thank you for having us.
Hope you enjoy looking through the blog.
