HUNTSHAM COURT WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
I was lucky enough to be able to get to this cool wedding venue twice last year, Huntsham Court. If you want to get married in a country house in Devon then look no further, it’s not only a fab wedding venue with loads of space but also a great way to relax and chill with friends and family, the whole situation is completely flexible, you get to hire the whole place for the weekend, and even get to bring your own alcohol if you wish.
On one of the times I was hired there I was booked to turn up the evening before, and get moments of the gathering/party the previous night, in my reportage documentary style, which I thought was a great idea as it accompanies my way of working immensely, as this is the core of how I shoot pictures, nothing posed or staged, just capturing moments of situations, impossible to reproduce otherwise, my job is to observe, and so by the time the wedding was upon us even all the wedding guests new about me, and vice versa and I suppose it made me blend a little bit easier into the surroundings, becoming more invisible.
And so to the couple’s, for the purpose of knowing who’s who in the pictures within this blog, the first wedding features Casey with the blonde hair, and partner Nathan, a local couple from Exeter and secondly, Emily with the dark hair and hubby Reg, from London.
All lovely people, and picking Huntsham Court to fit their expectations, and they succeeded effortlessly.
Weddings here are enjoyable for everyone, there is an air of calm, which is always good at weddings, and well needed surely, beautiful decor and grounds, I think weddings personally are going this way, a celebration of course, but over a couple of days, climatising your way in gently to the wedding itself.
